Over the past year and a half, a lot has changed. Restaurants are operating a bit differently, and foodservice, in general, is still bouncing back. Restaurants are opening back up, restrictions are lifting, and demand for products is rising. Because of this, there are some shortages happening in product categories such as poultry.
There is currently a shortage of chicken wings, and we see this aligning with the spike of consumers returning to dining out. So what can our customers do? We encourage you to look at alternatives. Run promotions or make sure to highlight different items on your menu. Whether it be boneless wings, chicken tenders, popcorn chicken, rib tips or mini tacos, there are plenty of ways to change up your menu while waiting for supply to catch up.
Angie’s would also like to mention that this shortage isn’t something we see lingering, and we are working with our manufacturers to do everything we can to get supply back up. We know this is a challenging hurdle for our restaurants, be we assure you we will get through it together.
